Staff Sergeant Johnathan Randall was presented the Bronze Star by Lieutenant Colonel Joseph Gross, 720th Operations Support Squadron commander during a ceremony held at Hurlburt Field, Florida, on Wednesday, May 20, 2020.
Randall received the medal for his actions while deployed in 2019. Special Operations Surgical Teams’ proximity to the fight and their ability to conduct high-level surgical operations in austere environments saves lives, builds relationships with the local populace and provides psychological stability for joint and allied forces combatting the enemy.
Staff Sergeant Randall graduated from Atoka High School in 2012. His is the son of Lavada and Charles Davis, and the late Thomas Randall. His brothers are Cody and Matthew Davis, and sisters Laurel Davis and Kadence Randall.
Staff Sergeant Randall and his wife, Cara, who was present at the ceremony, were joined by members of the 720th Special Tactics Group.
Due to COVID-19 regulations, Randall’s family in Atoka were unable to make the trip for the ceremony.
