If anyone cooked out for Memorial Day, it was a wet cookout. The rain did not start on Monday until after lunch, but then it did not stop. The blacktop north of Lane School flooded, no where for the water to go, everything is soaked. Looks like we will have rain all the rest of the week.
I am so ready for hot weather and sunshine. I will not have to mow this week.
Be sure you notice the cute porch that Edna Sheffield has added on to the south end of her home.
There will not be any summer school at Lane or anywhere else in Atoka County.
Tonya, Wendy, Mack, Matt, Charlie, Ty and Baker surprised me with gifts and a cake for an early birthday on Monday. Only a couple days early for I will be 85 on Wednesday, May 27.
I hope all of this opening places and people being close together will not cause more sickness and deaths. I am afraid we still are not sure what we are doing and it is all guess work. Hard for me to realize that we have to make an appointment for things, to get your car tag at the tag office, or to have your income tax done. I want things to go back to normal. Someone told me this might be the normal, I hope not.
All for this week, see you the next time, the Lord willing.
Remember, while you have time do some exercise, it keeps the spring in your step from rusting.
