The deadline for members of the Oklahoma House of Representatives to file interim study requests is Friday, June 26, 2020.
Oklahoma House Speaker Charles McCall will consider each request on the basis of its merits, on committee and staff workloads and on the impact of Capitol renovations. In the interest of efficiency similar requests may be combined.
Approved studies and related committee assignments will be announced no later than Friday, July 24, 2020.
Interim studies provide House members the opportunity outside the legislative session to take an in-depth look and hear from subject-matter experts on particular issues.
Interim studies are assigned to committees with jurisdiction over the subject matter contained within the request. Committee chairs will be responsible for scheduling committee meetings on the requests.
