Funeral services for Mildred Louise Jones, age 90 years, 2 months and 12 days, an Atoka resident, were held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2020, at the Atoka Funeral Home Chapel, in Atoka, with Jerry Richard officiating.
Interment was in Green Meadows Cemetery, at Atoka.
Services were under the direction of Atoka Funeral Home, in Atoka.
Jones passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2020, in Atoka.
She was born on March 19, 1930, to Perry Congress “Bub” Taylor and Lillie E. Kelley, at Boggy Depot.
Jones was a nurse and worked in nursing homes.
She married John Wesley Jones, on July 8, 1946, at Sherman, Texas. He preceded in her death on August 26, 1986.
Jones was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her daughters, Phyllie Ann Mackey of Pauls Valley; Cheryl Annette Lampkin and husband, Henry Eary, of Caney; Lisa Ward of Sasawka; grandchildren, Christopher Mackey and wife, Suzanne, of Pauls Valley; Cynthia Elaine Mackey of Caney; Ursula Bray and husband, Steve, of Okmulgee; step-grandsons, Johnnie Lampkin of Corpus Christi, Texas; Larry Mackey of Waurika; Hank Mackey and wife, Amanda, of Atoka; John Mackey and wife, Jenifer, of Sherman, Texas; great-grandchildren, Zachary Mackey and Ezekiel Mackey, both of Pauls Valley; brothers, D. C. Taylor and wife, Delita Fay, of Caney; Richard Taylor of Wilson; sisters, Mae Meadows of Tushka and Bera Marable of Broken Arrow; also several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Preceding her in death were her mother, Lillie E. Kelley; father, Perry Congress “Bub” Taylor; brothers, J.B. Taylor, Thurman Taylor; step-grandson, Billy Mackey.
