On Saturday, May 30, 2020, Atoka Police Officer Chase Franklin arrived at the D&H Tire shop due to a report of a man throwing trash out of the dumpster.
The man, identified as Tucker Barnett Standridge, 24, of Atoka, was standing next to the dumpster with a red bag filled with various items from the trash and carrying a backpack.
Officer Franklin made contact with Standridge who stated he was looking through the trash for things to keep.
Standridge was asked if he had any weapons on his person or in the back pack. He stated he did have a knife in the backpack and told the officer where it was located.
Inside the bag the officer found a clear plastic baggy with a crystal-like substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine, a blue butane torch, and a piece of plastic hose that was burnt on both ends.
Standridge was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (misdemeanor), and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor). He was taken to the Atoka County Jail.
