Friday, May 29, 2020, Atoka Police Officer Taylor Wood made contact with the driver of a black 1994 GMC Yukon traveling 63 miles per hour in a 45 mile per hour zone.
The driver, Abelardo Julio Ozuna, 26, of Oklahoma City, was issued a citation for speeding. When Officer Wood returned to the Yukon he detected the odor of marijuana.
Officer Wood asked Ozuna if there was anything illegal in the vehicle and consent to search. Ozuna advised the officer there was a handgun in the center console, and gave permission for the search.
Located inside the center console were two gold containers with 26 grams of a green leafy substance that field tested positive for marijuana, a hand rolled marijuana cigarette, and rolling papers.
Ozuna did not have a medical card for the marijuana. He was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
