In an effort to honor tradition while staying safe in a pandemic, Tushka Baptist Church and Oh Yeah Ministries will be hosting a Drive-In Baccalaureate for the 2020 Tushka Senior Class and 8th grade graduates.
The event will be held Sunday, June 14, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. on the old school grounds across the street from the gymnasium.
A stage will be set up on the north end of the large empty lot and everyone will remain in their vehicles or socially distance themselves in lawn chairs or pick-up beds.
A special section will be marked off for graduates to park. Graduates and their families are encouraged to decorate their vehicles as they will be led by the Tushka Fire Department on a parade through town following the service.
Brother Jeff Culbreath, father of Tushka Senior Avery Culbreath, will be bringing the message with praise and worship lead by John Russell and Tushka Senior, Ellie Hill.
This will be a new and unique event and the entire Tushka School community is invited to attend and celebrate with the graduating classes of 2020.
