Funeral services for Curtis Edward Sharp, age 61 years, 1 month and 15 days, a Stringtown resident, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2020, at the Atoka Funeral Home Chapel, in Atoka, with the Reverend Simon Ratcliff officiating.
Interment will be in Stringtown Cemetery, at Stringtown.
Services are under the direction of Atoka Funeral Home, in Atoka.
Sharp passed away on Monday, June 15, 2020, in McAlester.
He was born on April 30, 1959, to William D. and Anna Bernice (Hurt) Sharp, at Coalgate.
Sharp married Barbara Ratcliff, on December 26, 2002, at Fort Smith Arkansas.
He worked as a fire alarm technician. Sharp worked for Southeast Alarm Company for many years. He also owned his own company, Sharp Co.
Sharp was a member of the Coalgate Missionary Baptist Church, Christian Motorcycle Association of America and the Oklahoma Burglar Fire Alarm Association.
He enjoyed movies, hunting, fishing and spending time with family.
Survivors include his mother, Anna Bernice Sharp of Atoka; wife, Barbara Ellen Sharp of the home, in Stringtown; stepsons, Robert Johnson and wife, Christine, of Lexington; Stephen Ratcliff and wife, Ashley, of Stringtown; Simon Ratcliff and wife, Terra, of Verdigris; Shiloh Ratcliff and wife, Kelsey, of Coalgate; brother, Dan Sharp and wife, Ruth, of Denison, Texas; step-grandchildren, Robert Johnson, III, Julia Johnson and Katheryn Johnson, all of Houston, Texas; Jayden Ratcliff and Isaiah Ratcliff, both of Stringtown; Remington Ratcliff and Hadassah Ratcliff, both of Verdigris; Elizabeth Cox and Jacob Corey, both of Lexington; step-great-grandchildren, Kaydence and Lethe, both of Lexington; niece, Charlene Jason of Denison, Texas; nephews, Daniel Sharp and wife, Brook, of Denison, Texas; Charles Sharp of Sherman, Texas; along with a host of friends.
Preceding him in death were his father, William Sharp and his first wife, Dean Ruth Sharp.
Pallbearers will be Kim Burkhalter, Larry Callicoat, Stephen Ratcliff, Simon Ratcliff, Shiloh Ratcliff and Robert Johnson.
Family night will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Friday, June 19, 2020, at the Atoka Funeral Home Chapel, in Atoka.
