Graveside services for Jerald “Jerry” Haberman, age 90 years, 10 months and 30 days, a longtime Atoka resident, were held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2020, at Darwin Cemetery, in Darwin, with Brother Donnie Day and Dennis Jeter officiating.
Interment was in Darwin Cemetery, at Darwin.
Services were under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, in Atoka.
Haberman passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at his home, in Atoka.
He was born on Thursday, July 4, 1929, to Marvin Eugene and Lela Mattie (Nanney) Haberman, at Tulsa.
Haberman attended Pine Springs School, near Farris.
He married Gay King on May 10, 1949, at Paris, Texas. She preceded him in death on March 26, 2016. They celebrated 67 years of marriage.
Haberman was a builder and contractor.
He was a volunteer firefighter and Fire Chief at Farris. Haberman enjoyed dominoes, fishing, hunting deer and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his son, Eddy Haberman of Atoka; daughter, Kathy Haberman of Atoka; granddaughter, Christina Mathews of Dodgeville, Wisconsin; grandson, Alan Haberman of Norman; sister, Arlene Haberman of Vallejo, California; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Marvin and Lela Mattie Haberman; and his wife, Gay Haberman.
Pallbearers were Kevin Harris, Jerald Harper, Jeston Casey, Jeff Waller, Ronnie Butler and Robert Vaughn.
