The South Atoka Church of Christ honored their graduating high school seniors with a reception, Sunday, June 14, 2020, following the morning services.
Nolan Burrage, Cade Carroll, Trinity Gaylor, Daryen Wrice, D’Kari Wrice, all seniors from Atoka High School and Trenton Fugate, a senior from Tushka High School.
Joe Ware, minister, presented all the seniors with a Bible from the congregation. The Bibles had their names on them and were signed by everyone on the back pages.
Six card tables, with lattice hanging on the wall behind them, were set up in the classroom area for the seniors to display their trophies, awards and pictures.
A gift basket was tucked up under the tables to hold the presents from all who admired and appreciated these wonderful young people.
All six seniors had a grade point of over 4.0. They all excelled in academics, athletics and as a spiritual leader among their peers. They all plan to attend college in the fall and have their eye on a great career.
Among the well-wishers were their parents and grandparents, who along with the rest of the congregation, will miss them, but will be watching for great accomplishments and taking pride in their good deeds and faithfulness.
