We want to congratulate one of our outstanding area athletes Kayelin Kindred who appeared in the recent copy of VYPE, a High School Sports Magazine for Southeast Oklahoma.
Kayelin, who will be beginning her senior year this Fall, plays softball and basketball for the Tushka Lady Tigers. Kayelin is the daughter of Jody and Melissa Kindred and granddaughter of Rita Carter.
On behalf of the ranchers, cattlemen and farmers in our area I want to especially thank our home town hero State Representative Justin Humphrey who has really advocated for those of us who raise cattle.
Due to his diligence a Task Force has been formed that will convene to identify financial obstacles and structured solutions that will provide a process for long-term financial gain for Oklahoma farmers and ranchers.
If you are one of the many that raise and sell cattle then purchase any kind of beef at the grocery store you can tell there is a vast discrepancy between the prices you are getting for selling your cattle and the price you are paying for beef. Hopefully there will soon be a resolution to this issue.
We want to wish Bro Bob Muncy a Happy Birthday. He and his family celebrated his birthday this week.
We have really enjoyed having Carol Ann Self and her husband visit with us at McGee Valley the last few Sundays.
We want to remind everyone that we have started having our Wednesday evening service once again. The service starts at 7:00 P.M.
Please keep Iilene Garcia in your thoughts and prayers as she deals with medical issues.
Our hearts were saddened this week as long time resident, neighbor and friend Corine (Isom) Raney passed away. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers.
