This week everyone seemed to enjoy celebrating the 4th of July with good food, family, friends and fabulous fireworks displays.
Robby and Wendy Isom, grand-daughter Avery, Tatum and Wendy’s sister Donna Watson of Caney enjoyed spending the weekend with daughter Keesa and her family in Duncan.
They all had a good time visiting. Avery enjoyed playing with her cousins and setting off fireworks.
My mother and I visited my sister, Kenni and her husband, Rick for the 4th of July. My nephew, Jedidiah and wife Amy and sons Gavin and Ollie of Melissa, Texas came up for the weekend and also my nephew Micah and wife Hannah of Tulsa came down for the day.
Jed has always enjoyed putting on a spectacular fireworks display and this year was no different. Our family all enjoyed good food, visiting and fireworks.
We also enjoyed watching several other area displays of fireworks from the patio of my sister’s house. Lake Murray’s fireworks display was visible from her back yard as were a couple of neighbors.
I really appreciate Wendy Wyrick helping me work my cattle this past week, or I guess I should say Wendy worked my cattle while I just watched or my role was just to work the shoot. Wendy is a one man show. She can do it all. I had recently moved a few cows and calves from my house to my mothers and they didn’t get worked with the rest of the group. Wendy is always real good to help me and actually tries to show me what to do.
Happy Birthday wishes go out to Oliver Lane who is celebrating his second birthday this week.
We also have an up and coming star in our area as Jud Elrod, the son of Deidre (Bacon) Elrod and Jared’s picture recently appeared in the Oklahoma Living issue. He is quite a handsome young man.
Please continue to keep Eillene Garcia in your thoughts and prayers as she deals with medical issues.
