Wednesday, June 24, 2020, a single vehicle accident involving a semi occurred.
Stringtown emergency crews responded to the accident that occurred near the intersection of Lake Shore Drive and Highway 69.
Michael Williams, 47, of Lancaster, Texas was driving northbound on Highway 69 in a 2012 white Volvo semi when the tire blew out.
Williams lost control of the vehicle after the blowout, jumping the curb before driving into a creek bed.
The Volvo stopped when it became stuck in the trees. Williams was trapped due to the trees, but was eventually able to exit.
