Funeral services for Amber Dawn Mosqueda, age 41 years, 11 months and 8 days, a longtime Atoka resident, were held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2020, at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel, in Atoka, with Brother Jay Willoughby officiating.
Interment was in Green Meadows Cemetery, at Atoka.
Services were under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, in Atoka.
Mosqueda lost her battle to cancer on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at her home, in Atoka, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born on Sunday, August 27, 1978, to Manuel and Reta (Boone) Mosqueda, at Hawthorne, California.
Mosqueda graduated from Atoka High School, attended Vo-Tech and received her Certified Nursing Assistant and Computer Tech Certificates.
She married David Sublette, on November 21, at Atoka.
Mosqueda worked as a sales associate at Walmart.
She was of the Baptist faith. Mosqueda attended the Full Gospel Church and Harmony Baptist Church, loved to travel, eat sweets, play scratch off tickets and go to the casino. She was a caregiver, loved taking care of people when they were down on their luck and most of all, spending time with family, friends and her grandbabies.
Survivors include her daughter, Ashton Sublette and Dylan Clark of Atoka; son, Blaine Sublette of Atoka; grandson, Brantley Sublette of Atoka; brother, Michael Mosqueda and wife, Shara, of Atoka; nieces and nephews, Trevor Mosqueda, Paige Allen and Layne Allen, all of Atoka; cousin, Melissa Boone of Atlanta, Georgia; uncles and aunts, Cliff Boone and wife, Pam, of Aubrey, Texas; Jim Boone and wife, Ruby Ann, of Newnan, Georgia; Judy Hendricks and husband, Robert, of Tulsa; mother, Reta Hadley of Atoka; father, Manny Mosqueda and wife, Stephanie, of Cedar City, Utah; father of her children, David Sublette of Atoka; along with other relatives and many dear friends.
Preceding her in death were her paternal grandparents, Pete and Jenny Mosqueda; maternal grandparents, Clint and Genn Boone; stepfather, Terry Hadley; cousin, David Boone; along with numerous other relatives.
Pallbearers were Layne Allen, Trevor Mosqueda, David Sublette, Bobby Sublette, Garrett Sublette and Dylan Clark.
Family night was held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Friday, August 7, 2020, at Brown’s Funeral Service, in Atoka.
