A Durant man drown Saturday, July 18, 2020, at the Dolese Rock Quarry in Caney.
Reports state that Elijah Moore, 20, of Durant was attempting to swim across the 400 yard (1,200 feet) quarry. Moore was able to swim approximately 300 yards (900 feet) before he went under the water.
Moore never resurfaced. His body was recovered by Lake Patrol using sonar.
