Tuesday, July 21, 2020, Atoka Police Officer Joe Doshier arrived at a residence on South Weston Street due to a physical domestic in progress.
Officer Doshier made contact with the suspect, David Perry, 18, of Atoka. Perry stated the victim had slammed him on the ground and began hitting his head.
After speaking to Perry, Officer Doshier spoke to the victim and witness. The victim stated that Perry attacked them after being thrown something to drink.
Perry became angry, arguing with the victim before striking them with his closed fist. He drug the victim by their hair through the home, striking them with a picture frame and wine bottle.
The victim called 911 after Perry left the home. A witness was speaking with the victim as Perry returned, pushing a minor child into a door frame.
The witness pushed Perry out of the home and into the yard.
Perry was placed under arrest and transported to the Atoka County Jail for processing. He refused to write a statement, saying instead that he was, “not a snitch.”
He is charged with domestic abuse assault and battery (misdemeanor).
