We could use some rain, maybe we will see some in the next two days. If not, it is time to start watering. Things are looking dead.
So sorry to hear of Donna Cooks home burning. Thank goodness she was able to get out.
Pat Burkhalter fell at her home on Thursday night and was taken to a Tulsa hospital, she needs our prayers.
School will start in Lane on the 13th of August. Teachers will go on Monday the 10th and the children on Thursday.
I have seen more birds this summer and different kinds of birds and a lot of cardinals. Some years, I don’t even see one red bird.
Someone is still mowing the ditch in front of my house and the sides of the road in other places. It is not the county but I do appreciate the work. I am working on my ditch too, but I can not clean out the ditch and it is stopped up.
Our grant is over at the Senior Center and we still do not know if they are going to give us another grant and let us open. The building is so small we can not space people far enough apart.
