My nephew and niece Micah and Hannah Lane are enjoying a vacation at Yellowstone National Park. They were also going to Cheyenne, Wyoming and Bozeman, Montana.
They both enjoy hiking and planned to hike at Yellowstone. My nephew told me they had bought bear spray and he was reading up on what to do if he met up with a bear. Being the concerned aunt that I am, I told him all he needed to do if he was confronted by a bear was to make sure he could run faster than his wife, Hannah. No word back yet on if Hannah appreciated my humor.
This Sunday we enjoyed not only Bro Phil’s sermon but he sang a special before the service. Bro Phil is very talented and we always look forward and enjoy hearing him sing.
Robby Isom is training and breaking in a new hay hand this week. Robby’s wife Wendy, decided she would try out her skills hauling hay. At the end of the day we told Wendy that it was in the Farmer’s Code that you had to practice hauling 100 bales of hay and get that under your belt before you were certified to get paid for hauling each bale. Now if no one tells Wendy any different, Robby will have some free help for awhile.
Aaron and Reesa Tatum and their children Avery and Fisher enjoyed a vacation to Glen Rose, Texas where they enjoyed visiting the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center.
They enjoyed taking a safari through the beautiful Fossil Rim Wildlife Center which is a 1,800-acre wildlife preserve that is home to 1,100 rare and endangered animals that roam free in natural habitats. The scenic park tour is a 9.5-mile drive through hills, forests, and grassy plains. From the comfort of your car, you may see as many as 50 species of exotic animals. Including cheetahs, wolves, giraffes, rhinos, antelopes, zebras, emus, and ostriches.
The whole family reported having a great time.
We want to give a shout out to Bro Phil Tallman, Lavona Wyrick and Ed who all celebrated birthdays this past week. They even all had the same birth date.
My mother and I enjoyed having a nice lunch with my nephew Micah in Tulsa this past week. I had to go to Tulsa to pick up school supplies and Micah took time to visit and have lunch with us.
Jo-Ann Gabbart enjoyed visiting and spending time with her great-granddaughter and grandson’s wife this past week.
Several schools are getting ready to hopefully start within the next two weeks. Our professional development scheduled for next week has been moved to a virtual in-service but we are still planning on starting with a traditional school day on August 17th.
Please keep Bro Bob Muncy in your thoughts and prayers as he continues to deal with medical issues.
