Worship services were good Sunday morning. Preacher Joey preached on Wisdom.
Happy Birthday Brayden!
Wednesday night Bible study at Stringtown First Baptist Church is definitely worth coming out for.
Jaci, a young lady from Daisy, has been coming to Wednesday night Bible study and bringing her small son, Jackson. At the beginning of the worship services Sunday morning, Preacher Joey baptized her. Now get this; Jaci said she was saved at Vacation Bible School several years ago when she was just a little girl. Where was she saved? At Stringtown First Baptist Church!
Grandma Cindy is really anxious for a granddaughter. Boys run in the Smith family. Three Smith boys but no girls.
If you are on speaking terms with Almighty God, Ruth would like to enlist your help. Will you talk to God about her niece, Tammy Brewster? Tammy is the daughter of Butch and Sandra Brewster, Ruth’s ‘baby’ brother. Some of you know Butch.
Anyway, Tammy is a teacher in the Oklahoma City area schools. The teachers started back to school last week and several of them came down with the Covid-19 thing. Yes, Tammy was one of them.
Tammy has had some rough days. She also has asthma and some other breathing problems and that isn’t good when you have the coronavirus.
Then, was it Saturday, Butch and Sandra took her back to the ER. Her blood oxygen was way too low. They gave her oxygen and an IV to get her hydrated again, gave her some cough pills and sent her home.
Anyway, Monday Tammy seemed to be a bit better. She asked Butch and Sandra to bring her some food; she hasn’t wanted food at all since she’s been sick.
Tushka girls have a new assistant softball coach! Brayden Tisdale is volunteering her services there whenever she has an opportunity.
Brayden will be a college graduate in May but plans to continue her studies to earn her Masters degree.
JC and Ruth had a delightful surprise Sunday afternoon. Neighbors arrived with, can you guess what, one half of a BIG watermelon!
Beth seems to be enjoying her guineas. She sweeps out their coop and sits in their pen and talks to them.
Beth and Ray stopped by to see the house where Thomas, Dionna, Jordan, Kaelin, Karolyn and baby Ava will be living in Durant. Dionna is Karolyn’s God mother and she and her baby daughter are living with them for awhile. Thomas’ daughter, Presley was also there so they got to see the whole gang.
They aren’t just sure how things will go this week. Monday was Thomas’ first day at work on his new job. Dionna was going back to Texas to finish up the last things there since moving. She took Presley back home to Texas. Jordan and Karolyn went along and that left Kaelin with no one at home with her until Thomas got home. So, guess what? Dionna brought Kaelin to spend the night with Beth and Ray.
Why didn’t Kaelin go back to Texas with Dionna? Well, Tuesday is supposed to be meet the teacher day for the school where Kaelin will be enrolling. Beth offered to take her if Dionna wasn’t going to be available. Kaelin was delighted to spend a night with her GranBee and Ray.
Can you ask these things for our President? For all those in our government? For those who want to be a part of our government? For all those other politicians out there? That God would give them the wisdom, knowledge, courage, patience, love and forgiveness and all those other things they need but might not even know they need it?
Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD. – Psalms 33:12
