The McDonald’s drive through saw two vehicle accidents recently.
On Saturday, August 8, 2020, Atoka Police Officer Taylor Wood investigated an accident in the parking lot.
Michael Bassett, 36, of Atoka, had finished ordering food, and pulled forward in his maroon 2013 KIA Optima to wait for the payout window.
Donna Fincher, 68, of Caddo completed her order and pulled forward in a grey 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe, striking Bassett’s parked vehicle.
A witness stated, “The red KIA was stopped in the drive-thru line when a grey Tahoe hit the driver’s side of the KIA.” Both vehicles received minor damage.
On Friday, August 14, 2020, Atoka Police Officer Tyson Dillishaw investigated the second accident at McDonald’s.
Tina Caplinger, 52, of Ardmore, was in the outside order lane of the McDonald’s drive-thru when she paused to allow a semi around her white and black 2018 Cadillac.
Andrew Odell, 36, of Addison, Texas, was not paying attention as he turned the corner through the McDonald’s parking lot and struck Caplinger’s vehicle with the black 2018 Freight Liner semi.
Damage to the vehicles was minor and did not require to be towed.
