Bobbie Wilson, member of the Kiamichi Technology Centers Board of Education for Zone 6, was sworn in at the Board meeting on Tuesday, July 14, 2020.
Wilson has served on the Board of Education since 1998 and is currently the Board Clerk.
She has always been an advocate for career and technical education and played an integral role in the establishment of a Kiamichi Tech campus in Atoka. She became the first business teacher at the Atoka Campus in 1987 and continued to teach business classes until she retired in 1995.
“We are very fortunate to have Mrs. Wilson on our Board,” said Superintendent Shelley Free. “Her years of service, as an educator and as a Board member, are a testament to her commitment to our District and our students.”
In 2012, the Bobbie Wilson Business Center at the Atoka Campus was dedicated in her honor in recognition of her significant contributions to Kiamichi Technology Centers.
“She has devoted her life to education,” said Free. “She is a champion for Kiamichi Tech in the community and a dedicated public servant.”
