Friday, September 4, 2020, Atoka Police Captain Brian Snead arrived at the Grace Fellowship Church due to a report of an extremely intoxicated female.
Captain Snead spoke to witnesses who stated the suspect, Rebecca A. Isom, 43, of Atoka, was intoxicated and now located at the Atoka County Library.
Isom was sitting under the covered seating area of the Atoka County Library. She stood and began walking towards Captain Snead.
She was very unsteady on her feet, and spoke in a slow slurred tone. Captain Snead asked Isom if she was under the influence of any drugs.
Isom stated she had only taken her prescribed medication which was for depression. She refused medical treatment.
Officer Taylor Wood arrived on scene to preform a field sobriety test. Isom exhibited signs of being under the influence of drugs.
Isom was placed under arrest and transported to the Atoka County Jail. She was asked again if she needed medical treatment after falling to the ground in the Jail parking lot. She refused once more.
Isom was booked for public intoxication.
