On Saturday evening, August 29, 2020, Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Kevin Miller investigated the cause of an accident involving a Semi on State Highway Seven and Timberline Drive.
Trooper Miller made contact with the driver, Ronnie Edwin Gleason, 62, of Macomb, Missouri, who had departed the roadway to right and struck an embankment.
After speaking to Gleason, Trooper Miller attempted to conduct a Standardized Field Sobriety Test.
Gleason would not cooperate during the Horizontal Nystagmus portion. At the Walk and Turn test Gleason nearly stumbled and fell during instruction phase. The test was stopped for safety.
Gleason agreed to take the State’s blood test. He advised Trooper Miller that there was methamphetamine in his boot.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Jamey Miller located the methamphetamine in Gleason’s boot. Gleason was placed under arrest.
He is charged with driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs (misdemeanor), and possession of a controlled dangerous substance (misdemeanor).
