Atoka Police Officer Joe Doshier observed a green 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pickup traveling northbound on Highway 69 going 67 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone.
Officer Doshier conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Nathan Wade Irby, 38, of Cleveland, who claimed he did not have a driver’s license and had warrants in the state of Illinois. Irby admitted to having marijuana in the driver’s seat.
Irby exited the vehicle as Officer Doshier retrieved the marijuana. Irby was taken into custody for possession of marijuana.
During an inventory of the Silverado a glass pipe with a burnt residue in it was located in the passenger seat.
Irby was transported to the Atoka County Jail to be booked for speeding 11-15 over the speed limit, no driver’s license, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
