Charges were filed against a driver caught speeding with marijuana in the vehicle.
Tuesday, August 18, 2020, Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Jamey Miller stopped a vehicle traveling 39 miles per hour in a 15 mile per hour area.
The passenger of the vehicle admitted to possessing marijuana after the odor was detected coming from inside the vehicle.
Identified as Dustin Eric Barnes, 39, of Amarillo, Texas. Barnes handed a green leafy substance and a plastic and rubber smoking device to the Trooper. The green leafy substance field tested positive for marijuana.
Barnes was placed under arrest and transported to the Atoka County jail for booking.
He is charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (misdemeanor), and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor).
