Tuesday, September 22, 2020 Choctaw Nation Tribal Police Officer Jeffery Bryant was patrolling at the Stringtown Choctaw Casino.
Officer Bryant observed a female, who he knew to be Lindsay Dawn Daniel, 28, inside the casino. Atoka County Dispatch confirmed Daniel had an active felony warrant for her arrest.
The officer made contact with Daniel and informed her that she had an active felony warrant through the District Court of Atoka County. Daniel was placed under arrest and escorted to the officer’s patrol unit.
Officer Bryant asked Daniel if she had any illegal items on her person or in the backpack she was carrying.
She become emotional, stating that she had a bag inside her pants. Daniel advised the officer she was not sure what was in the bag, but knew there was some old baggies that might have a little heroin inside of them.
Daniel removed a pink zip up bag from her waistband and handed it to Officer Bryant.
During a search of the contents in the pink zip up bag a clear plastic zip lock baggy containing a piece of clear plastic that had a brown sticky substance on it, a clear plastic zip lock baggy containing numerous other empty baggies and one plastic baggy containing numerous broken Q-tips saturated in a brown substance, one clear plastic zip lock baggy containing numerous Q-tips with a brown substance on them, one metal spoon with a brown substance on it, a metal utensil with a brown substance on the end of it, one pair of metal scissors with broken Q-tips saturated in a brown substance stuck to the end of it, and one plastic bag containing seven new syringes.
Daniel told the officer the brown substance on the plastic bag, spoon and the Q-tips was heroin.
Officer Bryant was notified by the Choctaw Nation Public Safety Dispatch that Daniel also had a full extradition active felony warrant out of Oklahoma County.
Daniel was transported to the Atoka County Jail and booked in on the warrant out of Atoka County and Oklahoma County.
She is charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance (misdemeanor), and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor).
