I am enjoying the cool and I am ready to change to winter clothes. Always glad to see the next season arrive and see the last leave.
The Atoka football game was a run away Friday night against Talihina. What a game, touchdown on the very first play. By the half, the score was 49 to 0. The third quarter no one scored, then in the last quarter, Talihina had their only touchdown, making the final score 49 to 8. The next three games are away, September 18 at Marlow, September 25 at Hugo and October 2 being played at Antlers. On October 9, 2020, Atoka will be back home to play Eufaula.
Cotton Bradford is in the hospital at Texoma Medical Center, in Denison. I have not heard why he is there, but keep him in your prayers anyway.
Beth (Birdsong) and husband, Seth Tidwell had a baby boy this past week. He came a little early but is doing good and they are both home.
Lane School will be holding a Teacher/Parent Conference this week on Thursday, September 17, from 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and there will be no school on Friday, September 18, 2020.
Lane will play softball at Coalgate on Tuesday, September 22 at 4:30 p.m.
All the news for this week, see you the next time, the Lord willing.
