On Monday, September 21, 2020, Atoka Sheriff Deputy Trevor Dean was notified about an individual that had attempted a “drop” at the Mack Afford Correction Facility and was currently detained by prison staff.
Arriving at the correctional center, Deputy Dean spoke with the shift captain who advised the Deputy the individual was in central control.
The suspect was identified as Ty Dakota James Stone, 24, of Vinita, who was a recently released inmate from Mack Afford.
Evidence provided to Deputy Dean included a backpack that contained a one gallon ziploc style bag containing a green leafy substance, weighing 260 grams, twenty packages of Swisher Sweet cigars, a one-half gallon bottle of Potter’s vodka, and a one pound bag of Largo pipe tobacco.
Stone was being held in an observation room in central control. Deputy Dean placed him under arrest and transported Stone to the Atoka County Jail.
He is charged with unlawful possession of controlled drug with intent to distribute (felony) and bringing contraband into penal institution (felony).
