Friday, September 11, 2020, Atoka Police Officer Cody Poe was working a safety check when he made contact with the driver of a white pickup.
The driver, later identified as Floyd Eugene Lang, 60, of Atoka, was unable to produce a valid driver’s license or proof of insurance.
Lang stated he did not have a valid license due to unpaid tickets.
Officer Poe placed Lang under arrest for traffic violations. He was transported to the Atoka County Jail.
At the jail it was discovered that Lang had multiple small Ziploc bags with a few of them containing a white powdery substance Lang advised was “meth.”
The contents field tested positive for methamphetamine. Lang was booked for driving under suspension, no insurance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of driver’s license restriction.
