I mowed on Saturday, since the weather people said we had a chance of rain. The ditch in front of my house stands in water, if we get rain, so I wanted it done and it did not rain. Be nice if that is our last mowing, but I am sure that is wishful thinking.
I noticed that a few hummingbirds are still hanging around, they may know something we do not.
We did not go to the Antlers and Atoka football game on Friday night, again the seating is so small. We would be too close together to space for this virus. I did listen to the game on the radio and it was a good game. I did not know that the game was to start at 7:00 p.m. not 7:30 p.m., so I missed the first 30 minutes and Atoka was behind at first. Atoka will have home games for the next three weeks. Eufaula on Friday, October 9th, Hartshorne on the 16th and Valliant on the 23rd, which is Homecoming. These games all start at 7:00 p.m., not 7:30 p.m.
I had a group of squirrel hunters at my place on Saturday morning, four of them were pint size and so cute. They had so much fun, but only killed one squirrel, but they did not care.
This week the 3rd and 4th grades will play basketball against Cottonwood starting at 1:30 p.m. at Lane, on Wednesday, October 7. On Thursday, October 8, the 5th through 8th grades will play Denison at Lane at 4:30 p.m..
All the news for this week, see you the next time, the Lord willing.
Remember, exercise keeps the spring in your step from rusting.
