Well it’s official and the rest of Texhoma now knows what we knew all along. Not only is Kayelin Kindred our Rising Star, but she was dubbed Texhoma’s A+ Athlete of the Week and was featured this past week on KXII’s weekly spotlight.
As an athlete, Kaylelin has been named as one of VYPE’s top 100 Players. Kayeline is a triple star athlete playing basketball, softball and running Cross Country for the Tushka Lady Tigers. Kayelin has made five state appearances.
Kayelin not only excels on the field but also in the classroom, being one of the top students in her class, in addition to being named to the Honor Roll and a member of the National Honor Society.
According to her coach, Kayelin has a great attitude and strong work ethic.
We are all so proud of Kayelin, as well as her parents, Jody and Melissa Kindred.
Happy Birthday wishes go out to Gladys Kelly who celebrated a birthday this past week.
We are glad to have Wendy Isom back home. She had an extensive foot surgery last week but is glad to be home and slowly recovering.
She had a big crowd to take care of her this weekend. Her sisters, Donna and Misty, came out to check on her, as well as daughter, Kecia, made the trip from Marlow.
Continue to keep Wendy in your thoughts and prayers as she continues to recover.
Please continue to keep Corkie Smith, Eileen Garcia, Chris Kellogg and Brother Bob in your thoughts and prayers as they deal with medical issues.
We want to remind everyone that next Sunday we will start getting ready to start collecting for Samaritan’s Purse.
It’s hard to believe, but our Fall Break starts next week. We’re all hoping a few days out of school will help the COVID situation settle down some. We started August 17 and just the past three days, did our 4th-6th grade have to transition to virtual learning due to contact tracing, so we’ve basically done very well compared to some.
We want to remind everyone that we won’t be hosting our annual pie supper due to COVID-19. The pie supper is the only fund raiser we have in order to raise funds for the maintenance of our Mountain Home and Billy Cemeteries. Anyone that would like to send a donation may mail it to the following address: Daisy Cemetery Fund, C/O Wendy Wyrick, 169093 N 4135 Rd, Daisy, OK 74540. You may also contact Wendy at 918-569-4178.
