Thursday, September 17, 2020, Atoka Police Officer Taylor Wood responded to a burglary at the Atoka School bus barn located at 200 South Oregon Street.
Officer Wood arrived on scene and spoke to Brandon Bates who informed the officer about the theft.
Bates stated he had arrived that morning to find the small walk-in door unlocked and open.
A window on the west wall had been broken and items belonging to the school and Bates had been stolen.
Items included: 220v Lincoln Mig Welder, diesel heater, welding leads, security camera hard drive and cords, Dewalt grinder, jump box, Rotella oil, electric wiring, Dewalt drill, hand tools, Multi meter, Ingersoll rand air die grinder, air sander, Pioneer Radio, and a tool bag.
The total loss of the items were $4,340.00. If anyone has any tips or witnessed the theft please contact the Atoka Police Department at 580-889-3250.
