The leaves are coming down, my yard is already covered and what has not fallen are starting to change colors. At the present, my yard is full of yellow trees that are so pretty when the sun shines on them.
I have not seen a hummingbird in the last few days, so I guess they are gone.
It was good to see Jerry Don Burkhalter last week. He is home and doing good after his long stay in the hospital.
Talked to Nelson Day and he says he is doing good and he is at home.
I took stuff to the recycle place last week, which I do about twice a week and this time I brought it back home because there was no place to put it. Things were stacked all around the container, the thing was full and running over. People are using it, but it does need to be emptied more often.
Thought there would be a bigger crowd at the football game on Friday night after Atoka boys winning the last two games. This was not a win for them against Eufaula, but they did play a better game the second half. Next week they will be playing Hartshorne, at home again and the game starts at 7:00 p.m. I saw many coming in late after the game had started.
Lane School was to play two games of basketball this week, one against Harmony and one against Atoka, but both had been called off because the teams are quarantined.
Lane School will start Fall Break on Thursday this week and will not be back in class until Wednesday, October 21, 2020.
All the news for this week, see you the next time, the Lord willing.
