It was almost cold enough to build a fire in my wood stove on Monday, but I did not do that, I just wrapped up in an afghan. When I went to bed that night, I could have used an electric blanket.
It got cold at the game on Thursday night because the wind got up out of the north. The game was so good on the Atoka side that it kept us warm jumping up and yelling for our team. Atoka looked like a different team than the one that played the week before. They went for a touchdown on the first play and made it. The score ended up 34 to 0. Harshorne got close to the goal once and tried for a field goal, but did not make it.
Don’t forget next week will be Homecoming and they will be playing against Valliant. I am sure that there will be King and Queen activities early, but the game starts at 7:00 p.m.
Lane School will begin again on Wednesday this week and the next week will have different things going on each day, such as Crazy Hair Day, Pajama Day, Costume Day, then of course, Halloween will be on Saturday night, October 31, 2020.
There will be one basketball game with the third and fourth grades on Wednesday, against Cottonwood, at Cottonwood, played at 1:30 p.m.
All the news for this week, see you the next time, the Lord willing.
