What a beautiful day we had on Monday, it did start out on the cool side so I had a fire early. Warmed up by noon.
Friday morning I was at the Senior Center to check on some things and as I came out of the building, there stood Roe Kennedy. We talked for awhile, he had Betty in the car resting so I did not get to see her. Roe was here to check out his house and to visit with family.
Friday night Atoka played Wilburton there and won by a score of 34 to 7. I did not go but did listen to it on the radio. Atoka played a great game! The game this Friday night against Idabel has been canceled.
Stringtown had their basketball tournament last week and Lane 5th and 6th grade girls won. Lane was to play a game at home on Monday but it was canceled.
I had about 30 trick or treaters on Saturday night. They began coming about 6:00 p.m. and I turned off my light around 8:00 p.m. I do enjoy seeing the kids all dressed up in their costumes. They come on long bed trailers loaded with kids and adults, also loaded up pickup beds and in cars. Once while we were on the porch handing out candy, a deer ran across my west pasture, maybe she was hoping for candy. Some of these families have been coming to my house for the 50 years we have been here, what fun.
My cat is gone, so I need another, if anyone has one, give me a call at 580-889-7402.
All the news for this week, see you the next time, the Lord willing.
