In September 2020, the Professional Bull Riders World Finals (PBR) annouced they would make the move from Las Vegas, Nevada to the AT&T Stadium located at 1 AT&T Way, in Arlington, Texas.
Three bulls co-owned by former professional bull rider and cowboy Cord McCoy, of McCoy Ranch is located in Lane, will be heading to Arlington as a part of the PBR World Finals.
Mr. Majestic was sired in 2014 and began his bucking career in 2017. He ranks number 35 in the PBR World Standings.
Mr. Majestic is the grandson of Bodacious, a legendary bucking bull that has been called “the greatest bull ever to buck.”
Bodacious is in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Hall of Fame, the Bull Riding Hall of fame and is a PBR Brand of Honor bull.
Mr. Majestic has a buck-off rate of 82.93%. He has bucked in 11 events for the 2020 year with only three of those resulting in a score for the cowboy.
Known for his boisterous personality, Mr. Majestic made 11 appearances on the elite PBR Unleash The Beast during the 2020 regular season.
Mr. Majestic first bucked this season inside the iconic Madison Square Garden for the season-launch Major in New York City. Earning two trips, he was marked 43.75 points for his 2.02-second buckoff of Luciano de Castro, and concluded his trip to the Empire State with a 44.5-point score for his 3.82-second buckoff of Cody Teel.
He is owned by Cord McCoy and Bruce Wold of HR Bulls.
The second bull to compete is Blue Crush. Another bull sired in 2014; he is owned by Cord McCoy and Chad Reese.
Blue Crush ranks tenth in the PBR World Standings with a buck-off rate at 83.33%.
He has participated in 14 events and is currently unridden for the 2020 year. A veteran PBR bucker, Blue Crush has not been ridden since August 2019, currently amid an 18-out buckoff streak across all levels of competition.
The last bull is Rocky who ranks at 126th in the PBR World Standings. Rocky’s top trip of the year was witnessed in Manchester, New Hampshire in January. Drawn by Luciano de Castro, Rocky sent the Brazilian to the dirt in a swift 1.8 second en route to a 44.75 point bull score.
The bull’s buck-off rate stands at 85.74% after having competed in 10 events resulting in only one ride for the 2020 year.
Sired in 2015, he was purchased in 2020 a few months prior and brought to Oklahoma from Georgia. He is owned by Cord McCoy and Ronnie Chism Farm and Ranch.
“Mr. Majestic is the veteran of the bunch, but Blue Crush has had the best 2020 of them all. Blue is a top ten contender for PBR Bucking Bull of the year,” McCoy stated.
With each out at a PBR event comprised of two athletes, both rider and bull, not only will one rider be crowned the 2020 PBR World Champion, but one bovine athlete will also be anointed the 2020 YETI PBR World Champion Bucking Bull, earning an accompanying $100,000 bonus, at the conclusion of the four-day event.
