The days have felt more like spring instead of fall. I guess it will hit us all at once and we will be hunting our coats.
This virus is getting worse in Atoka County. All but two schools are closed now. People need to start doing what they can and being serious about wearing their masks and staying home.
Lane School will dismiss at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2020, starting the Thanksgiving break and they will be out until November 30, 2020.
There are some interesting facts about Thanksgiving from the school, one was that Benjamin Franklin wanted to make the turkey the national bird instead of the bald eagle. I am glad he did not get his way on that, the turkey is an ugly bird. Also, the turkey has 5 to 6,000 feathers on it’s body. I am so glad that we do not have to go out and kill the bird and pick all the feathers off.
As you can tell, I have no news because I do not get out to see anyone. So this is all for this time, hope to see you next week, the Lord willing and remember that basketball will be starting soon at the high school and I hope we will be able to go to the games.
