Thursday, November 5, 2020, Atoka Police Sergeant Jimmy Taylor investigated a possible domestic that started on Elm Street.
Sergeant Taylor made contact with the two individuals that were walking near the intersection of Oklahoma Avenue and Thirteenth Street.
The male, identified as Tyler M. Loftin, 30, of Lane, and the female, Kayla Joseph, denied yelling at one another.
Loftin was detained while Dispatch checked for active warrants. After it was confirmed a warrant was active, he was transferred to the Atoka County Jail.
He denied having anything illegal on his person. Jail staff advised Sergeant Taylor that Loftin was smoking a vape pen during the booking process.
The vape pen was confiscated and tested. The pen field tested positive for marijuana.
Loftin was cited for introducing contraband into a penal institution, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
