On Sunday, November 8, 2020, Atoka Police Officer James Riley received a call about a woman standing in the roadway of Highway 69, throwing rocks at passing vehicles.
Dispatch advised Officer Riley that the woman was walking towards Liberty Road.
The Officer made contact with the suspect, identified as Rebecca Ann Isom, 43, of Atoka, near the Muddy Boggy Bridge.
Isom spoke with very animated movements, and could not stand still. She began making statements to the Officer that did not make sense or pertain to the questions she was being asked.
Officer Riley placed Isom under arrest for public intoxication. She was transported to the Atoka County Jail for booking. A glass pipe with a green leafy substance inside was found in Isom’s purse.
