Graveside services for Curtis Glenn Matlock, age 38 years, a Mead resident, were held at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2020, at the Mead Cemetery, in Mead.
Interment was in the Mead Cemetery, at Mead.
Services were under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, in Durant.
Matlock passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2020.
He was born on December 7, 1981, to Johnnie Matlock and Patsy Duncan, in Sherman, Texas.
Matlock attended Robert E. Lee, Tishomingo, Crowder and Silo Public Schools.
He worked as a mobile home transporter.
Matlock was a member of the Mead Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, four wheeling, riding motorcycles, fixing things and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his mother, Patsy Duncan and husband, Levi, of Mead; his father, Johnnie Matlock and wife, Freda, of Caney; grandparent, Betty Furr of Atoka; the mother of his children, Lisa Foxworth; son, Tyler Matlock; daughter, Paige Matlock of Caddo; son, Cameron Carpenter and wife, Larisa; grandchildren, Riggin, Remington and Rylin, all of Caney; brother, Steven Matlock; nephew, Ryan Matlock and Emily Stevens of Boswell; nieces, Kylie Matlock and Case Daniels of Caddo; and Myah Matlock of Mead; brother, Derrick Ladd and wife, Summer; nephews, Tristen and Trigger and niece, Talynn, all of Caney; brother, KD Ladd and nephews, Kenton and Zayne, niece, Kaigan, all of Caney; sister, Kristie Riley; niece Sidney Riley and Loko Adanho, both of Durant; niece, Ricquelle Riley and Shavon Cook; great niece, Amari Riley; niece, London Johnson of Mead; sister, Shelly Rector and husband, Jeff; nephews, Chaun Duncan and Riley Luck; great nephews, Jaxson Luck and Rayce Luck; niece, Lexi Rector, all of Atoka; sister, Stacey Hart and husband, Jason; nephew, Jaden Neice; niece, Colbie Duncan, all of Madill; sister, Natalie Doyle and husband, Brandon, of Mead; niece, Brylynn Doyle; sisters, Jona Matlock and Kamryn Duncan, both of Mead; sister, Arlene Helms and husband, Dyllon, of Mead; nephews, Garrett and Wesley Helms; along with many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Ethel Workman and James Workman; Ed Matlock; Arley Duncan and Bruce Furr.
Honorary pallbearers were Tyler Matlock, Cameron Carpenter, Ryan Matlock, Steven Matlock, Bobby Thomas, Amos Workman and Jerry Tucker.
