Friday, November 20, 2020, Atoka Police Officer Joe Doshier was driving westbound on Cedar Street when a maroon 2008 Hyundai Accent drove by with a busted windshield.
Officer Doshier turned his patrol unit around and conducted a traffic stop.
He made contact with the driver, identified as Jimmy Mark Fleming, 47, of Atoka, and informed him of the reason for the traffic stop.
The Officer returned to his vehicle to write a citation for defective vehicle. After giving the citation to Fleming, he asked if there were any illegal narcotics or weapons in the vehicle.
Fleming admitted to having marijuana in his pocket. He was asked to exit the vehicle, and provided Officer Doshier permission to search the vehicle.
Officer Doshier found a small clear bag of marijuana inside the car.
Fleming was placed under arrest for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was transported to the Atoka County Jail for booking. The Accent was impounded by Donnie’s Wrecker Service.
