Graveside services for Charles “Sam” Samuel White, age 76 years and 15 days, a longtime Wapanucka resident, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2020, at Rosehill Cemetery, in Wapanucka, with Brother Kenneth May officiating.
Interment will be in Rosehill Cemetery, at Wapanucka.
Services are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, in Atoka.
White passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020, at Ada.
He was born on Tuesday, August 22, 1944, to R. Charles and Harriet (Chadd) White, at Alameda, California.
White attended Wapanucka High School.
He married Ileen R. (Rugley) on Tuesday, October 18, 1994, at Hesperia, California. They celebrated 25 years of marriage before his passing.
White was a truck driver and minister.
He was non denominational. White enjoyed horses, loved studying the Bible and spreading it’s word.
Survivors include his wife, Ileen R. White of the home, in Wapanucka; children, Marla Ingram and husband, Stanley, of Bokchito; K. Don White of Atoka; Amber Dan of Ada; Lashon of California; Wesley of Colorado; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Rebecca Boyd of Kilgore, Texas and Vela Robertson of Wapanucka; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Charles and Harriet (Chadd) White; and sister, Cherryl Sparks.
Pallbearer will be Clint Robertson.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Friday, September 18, 2020, at Brown’s Funeral Service, in Atoka.
