By Thelma Bledsoe
Well, I believe winter is here, it was cold on Monday morning and it is to be colder. I have drained hoses and covered the water hydrants, so I hope I am ready.
Last Tuesday night, we had a storm before I went to bed, so I checked to see if the columns were still standing, they were. I did not get any damage but closer to the Lane stores and the highway, they did. Connie Zalenski lost the shutters off several windows at her home. The Lane Church of Christ had roof damage. I saw lots of limbs down from cedar trees and there were a couple of trailers turned over, but no one was in them so no one was hurt.
Debbie Brasfield will have back surgery this week so keep her in your prayers.
Cord, son of Connie Zalenski, was home over the weekend and for Thanksgiving. He works in Bentonville, Arkansas.
I really missed being with a large family group for Thanksgiving day. I miss family. Really, I miss people, this staying home is for the birds.
Matt Sandman preached for us on Sunday morning, he did such a good job. Then Brock Marble preached on Sunday night, another good job.
The friends of the library decorated for Christmas on Monday night. We always do that the week of the parade, but we will have no parade this year, lots of changes and not all to my liking.
All my news for this time, see you next week the Lord willing and remember a friend is a gift you give yourself.
