Funeral services for Angelia (Angie) Machelle (Richardson) Burleson, age 55 years, an Atoka resident, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 23, 2020, at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel, in Atoka, with Bill Roberson and Terry Callicoat officiating.
Interment will be in Bentley Cemetery, at Bentley.
Services are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, in Atoka.
Burleson passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020, at Denison, Texas.
She was born on Friday, December 11, 1964, to Tommy and Glenda Carol (Eaves) Richardson, at Oklahoma City.
Burleson attended Bentley Elementary School and graduated from Tushka High School. She also attended Kiamichi Technology Center, where she received and became a Licensed Practical Nurse.
She married Jimmy Burleson on Saturday, September 10, 2011, at Atoka.
Burleson was a Licensed Practical Nurse.
She was a member of the Full Gospel Church, loved to cook for everyone, especially cakes. Burleson spoiled all of her grandchildren, at grandma’s house everyone was number one. She loved her nursing job, spending time with her family and her dogs, Prissy and Toby.
Survivors include her children, Mindy Gerard of Madill; Mandy Gerard and wife, Anna, of Madill; Brandon Gerard of Atoka; stepchildren, Bridgett Richardson and husband, Billy, of Henryetta; Mikey Sparks of McAlester; Shayla Hill of Stringtown; grandchildren, Autumn and Kolby Timms, both of Madill; Gage, Kay’lynn and mother, Brandie, all of Rattan; Shimmer and Stihl Gerard, both of Atoka; Braden and Aubree Sparks, both of Henryetta; Brooklyn, Sariah and Jerry Sparks, all of McAlester; Unique, Zack, Dalton and Kara, all of Stringtown; husband, Jimmy Burleson of Atoka; father of her children, Larry Gerard of Heber Springs, Arkansas; parents, Tommy and Glenda Carol (Eaves) Richardson of Atoka; sisters, Sarah Davis and husband, David, of Durant; Keisha Moreland and husband, Patrick, of Drasco, Arkansas; brother, Tommy Richardson, Jr. and wife, Tabitha, of Atoka; sister-in-law, Debra Lindsey of Purcell; best friends, Mary Frazier of Atoka; Debbie Spinhirne and husband, Tim, of Vega, Texas; Bobbie Jo Glover and husband, Ray, of Poteau; along with numerous adopted children, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many other dear and loved friends.
Preceding her in death were her special friend, Paula Deaton; maternal grandparents, Leroy and Lorene Eaves; paternal grandparents, James T. and Georgia Richardson; aunt, Della Eaves; uncles, Ray Richardson and Buster Delay; and a special cousin, Gary Richardson.
Pallbearers are Jimmy Adams, Mike Eaves, Rocky Teston, David Teston, Jr., Keith Deaton and Russell Deaton.
Honorary pallbearers are Don Deaton, David Deaton, Marty Deaton, Spike Eaves, Matt Eaves, Tim Spinhime and Shannon Crow.
Family night will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 22, 2020, at Brown’s Funeral Service, in Atoka.
