Graveside services for Jim Bob Smith, age 68 years, 1 month and 4 days, an Atoka resident, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2020, at Green Meadows Cemetery, in Atoka, with Pastor John Mixon officiating.
Interment was in Green Meadows Cemetery, at Atoka.
Services were under the direction of Atoka Funeral Home, in Atoka.
Smith passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020, at his home, in Atoka.
He was born on September 1, 1952, to Delroe Baxter and Bobbi Jean (Murrell) Smith, at Durant.
Smith was a lineman and worked for Public Service Company of Oklahoma.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his father, Delroe Smith of Atoka; two sons, Robert Paul Smith and wife, Lari, of Harmony; Christopher Dee Smith and wife, Lori, of Harmony; five grandchildren, Bailey Smith, Grace Smith, Jacob Smith, Evan Smith, Emma Smith, all of Harmony; special cousin, Mike Proctor and wife, Ellyn of Rogers, Arkansas; also numerous friends.
Preceding him in death were his mother, Bobbi Jean Smith and his stepmother, Mildred Smith.
Pallbearers were Brad Ryan, Dewayn Hill, Robert Smith, John Martin, Justin Ryan and Michael Ryan.
Honorary pallbearers were Josh Randall and Jerry Wofford.
Family night was held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at the Atoka Funeral Home Chapel, in Atoka.
