Funeral services for Clarissa Ann (Burnett) Garmon, age 70, a Paris, Texas resident, formerly of Atoka, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 15, 2020, at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel, in Atoka, with Brother Raymond Humphrey officiating.
Interment was in Darwin Cemetery, at Antlers.
Services were under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, in Atoka.
Garmon passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at Paris, Texas.
She was born on Wednesday, March 1, 1950, to Odes and Julie (McLeod) Burnett, at Centerpoint.
Garmon attended Atoka High School.
She married Troy Garmon on Friday, February 12, 2010, at Hugo.
Garmon was a proud mother and housewife.
She was a member of the Life Church in Paris, Texas. Garmon loved to play music and sing, she did not like dominos. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Troy Garmon of the home, in Paris, Texas; children, Rhonda Thornburg and husband, Roy, of Lindsey; Jarried Roberson and wife, Marcie, of Norman; Brandi Schmidt of Chickasha; Cynthia Gale Garmon of Holdenville; Marquita Davis and husband, Jr., of Shawnee; Larhonda Crary or Guthrie; Melissa Kay Fisher of Evanston, Wyoming; Tammie Carol Garmon of Guthrie; Mark Garmon and wife, Denise, of Meridian; grandchildren, Britanee Thornburg; Devin Thornburg and wife, Jessie; Dawson Thornburg; Addison Roberson; Zayne Roberson; Tristyn Schmidt; Aiden Schmidt; and many others; sisters, Vera Cannon Amend of Centerpoint; Nancy Holaday of Antlers; Margaret Mosley, Oklahoma City; Evelyn Yates of Paris, Texas; Donna Breeze of Burleson, Texas; Martha Moore of Azel, Texas; and Kay Parson of Antlers; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Odes and Julie (McLeod) Burnett; granddaughter, Kayla Thornburg; sister, Dorothy Griffin; brothers, Billy Burnett, Johnny Burnett and James Burnett; step-grandson, David Garmon; along with numerous cousins and friends.
Pallbearers were Zayne Roberson, Dawson Thornburg, Devin Thornburg, Alex Garmon, Brett Garmon and JD Garmon.
Honorary pallbearers were Glen Dale Burnett, Billy Mosley, Charles Holaday, Tim Yates, Wesley Griffin, Phillip Cannon, Thomas Cannon, Voyd Cannon, Randy Yates, Donny Burnett, Todd White, Bobby Mosley, Todd Carlile, Charlie White, Chance Breeze and Chris Parson.
Family night was held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 14, 2020, at Brown’s Funeral Service, in Atoka.
