Funeral services for Jacqueline “Jackie” Uyvonne Marlow, age 67 years, 2 months and 3 days, a longtime Caney resident, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2020, at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel, in Atoka, with Connie Howard officiating.
Interment will be in Perkins Cemetery, at Caney.
Services are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, in Atoka.
Marlow passed away on Monday, November 16, 2020, in Sherman, Texas.
She was born on Sunday, September 13, 1953, to Andy Vestel and Wanda Faye (Tucker) Lackey, at Oklahoma City.
Marlow graduated from Caney High School where she played basketball and went on to attend Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
She married Wayne Marlow on Saturday, March 4, 1972, at Durant. They enjoyed 48 years of marriage before her passing.
Marlow worked a number of years at the sewing factory in Caddo, for Joyce’s Western Wear and many years at Atoka Truck Stop.
She was a longtime member of Voca Baptist Church (48 years). Marlow taught Vacation Bible School and helped with the Grievance Committee in preparing and serving meals. She liked to pond fish and gardening, and loved taking care of and spoiling her grandbabies.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne Marlow of the home, in Caney; mother, Wanda Faye (Tucker) Lackey of Calera; children, Bobby Wade Marlow of Atoka; Clifton Kent Marlow and wife, Stacey, of Tallahassee, Florida; Cody Marlow of Durant; Amber Marlow McDaniel of Caney; grandchildren, Jessie Frank James Marlow of Florida; Shane Scott and Codi Gibbons of Caney; Savanna Marlow of Durant; Bodie McDaniel of Caney; sisters, Judy Houser of Oklahoma City; Gayla Wingo and husband, Jimmy, of Caney; brothers, Larry Lackey and wife, Pon, of McAlester; Kenny Lackey and wife, Lesa, of Caney; Terry Lackey and wife, Melissa, of Tushka; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Preceding her in death was her father, Andy Vestel Lackey.
Pallbearers are Shane Scott, Brock Woolf, Amos Workman, Bo McDaniel, Braeden Workman and Cody Marlow.
Honorary pallbearers are Ann Eaves, Flora Coats, Barbara Douglas and Lenis Boehme.
Family night will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Friday, November 20, 2020, at Brown’s Funeral Service, in Atoka.
