Funeral services for Jewel Dean (Bayles) Cole, age 71 years, 10 months and 21 days, a lifelong Atoka resident, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2020, at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel, in Atoka, with Brother Raymond Humphrey officiating.
Interment was in the Stringtown Cemetery, at Stringtown.
Services were under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, in Atoka.
Cole passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at Durant.
She was born on Tuesday, December 21, 1948, to Marion and Ruby (Hunt) Bayles, in Atoka County.
Cole attended Tushka Public School.
She worked in retail stores.
Cole was of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, Jimmy Cole of Atoka; Steven Cole and wife, Carri, of Atoka; grandchildren, Steven Cole, II and Nick Cole, both of Atoka; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Ruby Fish and husband, Williams, of Shreveport, Louisiana; Clifford Bayles and wife, Brenda, of Atoka; Mary Taylor of Norman; Bill Bayles and wife, Gay Sue, of Atoka; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Marion and Ruby (Hunt) Bayles; siblings, Veta Maxey, Christine Cole, John Bayles, Clarence Bayles, Dorothy Taylor and Virginia Hyatt.
Pallbearers were Nick Cole, Albert Cole, Dave Boston, Jacob Boston, Dennis Taylor and James Taylor.
Honorary pallbearers were Dean Taylor, Clifford Bayles, Bill Bayles and Steven Cole, II.
Family night was held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Friday, November 13, 2020, at Brown’s Funeral Service, in Atoka.
