Graveside services for JG Reeder, Jr., age 68 years, 4 months and 18 days, a longtime Wapanucka resident, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at Rosehill Cemetery, in Wapanucka, with Brother Tim Carter officiating.
Interment will be in Rosehill Cemetery, at Wapanucka.
Services are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, in Atoka.
Reeder passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020, at his home, in Wapanucka.
He was born on Saturday, July 5, 1952, to JG and Dorothy (Kendall) Reeder, Sr., at Durant.
Reeder graduated from Wapanucka High School, in 1970.
He married Brenda (Murphy) on Saturday, July 21, 1973, at Bromide. They celebrated 47 years of marriage before his passing.
Reeder was a retired welder.
He was a member of the Wapanucka First Baptist Church. Reeder enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time in the outdoors and loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Reeder of the home, in Wapanucka; son, Michael Allen Reeder of Wapanucka; grandchildren, Courtney Reeder, Joseph Reeder, Kalee Reeder, Reace Reeder, Navee McCarty and Patrick McCarty, all of Wapanucka; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Reeder of Wapanucka; mother, Dorothy Reeder of Wapanucka; great-grandchildren, Corey Scott, Kenny Maxey, Timberlynn McCarty, Chloe Dever, Malee Dever and Bo Dever, all of Wapanucka; siblings, Joe Reeder, Tom Reeder, Robert Reeder, Bruce Reeder, Nora Glance and Cordie Spradling; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Preceding him in death were his father, JG Reeder, Sr.; son, Gary Don Reeder; brother, David Reeder; and daughter-in-law, Jennifer Kay Reeder.
Honorary pallbearers are Chad Hilburn, Joe Jefferson, Joe Sebourn, Allen Cribbs, Kelby Hughes and J.D. Dewbery.
Family night will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Friday, December 11, 2020, at Brown’s Funeral Service, in Atoka.
