Funeral services for Karen Sue (Lenox) Hostetler, age 65 years, 6 months and 15 days, a longtime Crystal resident, will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 11, 2020, at the Boehler Community Building, in Boehler, with her family officiating.
Services are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, in Atoka.
Hostetler passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020, at Durant.
She was born on Friday, May 20, 1955, to Cloyd Van and Bonnie Marie (Dannells) Lenox, at Albia, Iowa.
Hostetler attended Oskaloosa and Grant Schools, in Iowa and later attended Kiamichi VoTech and received her Certified Nursing Aide certification.
She worked many years at Walmart, in Atoka and once she received her CNA certification, she worked at the Coalgate Hospital.
Hostetler was raised Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed breeding and raising German Shepard dogs, raising Mustang horses, horseback riding, trail riding, raising cattle and loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her companion, best friend and partner, Phillip Marsh of Crystal; children, Tammy Trusty and husband, Glenn, of Russell, Iowa; Donnie Allison and wife, Renee, of Oskaloosa, Iowa; Bobbie Ceriotti and husband, Jason, of Atoka; Stacey Wood and husband, Matthew, of Crystal; Candy Hostetler and friend, Stuart Mobbs, of Hollyridge, North Carolina; Edwin “TC” Hostetler of Crystal; sisters, Barbara Johnson and Donna Tylkowski, both of Oskaloosa, Iowa; Sheryl Playle and husband, Rodney, of New Sharon, Iowa; brothers, Jerry Lenox and wife, Donna, of Oskaloosa, Iowa; Terry Lenox and wife, Mary, of Pella, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and another due in a month; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Cloyd and Bonnie Marie (Dannells) Lenox; and her sister, Linda Shappell.
